Crafting the Melody and Harmony Isaiah Rashad beats often incorporate jazzy chord progressions and melodic loops that are both catchy and mellow. Producers should experiment with minor 7th and 9th chords to evoke emotional depth. Layering melodies with subtle counterpoints or background harmonies enhances the track's texture. ## 4. Programming the Drums The drum patterns in Rashad-type beats tend to be simple but effective, focusing on groove and feel rather than complexity. Using swung hi-hats and laid-back snare hits, sometimes with a slight delay or reverb, helps achieve the signature chilled rhythm. The kick drum should provide a solid foundation without overpowering the melodic elements. ## 5. Adding Atmospheric Effects Atmospheric sounds such as reverb, delay, and vinyl crackle contribute significantly to the vibe of an Isaiah Rashad type beat. These effects add space and warmth, making the beat feel more organic and immersive. Subtle use of background vocal chops or ambient noises can also enrich the sonic landscape. ## 6. Mixing and Mastering Tips A clean but warm mix is essential to highlight the soulful elements while keeping the rhythm tight. Prioritize clarity on the keys and vocals space by using EQ to carve out frequencies. Gentle compression and tape saturation plugins can add analog warmth, enhancing the overall feel. ## 7.
